Position: Membership and Business Development Director



Description: The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to join their team as the Membership and Business Development Director. The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce works with the business community to grow business and create a thriving economy. The Chamber offers networking, advocacy, connections, marketing, and community engagement. The Membership and Business Development Director manages membership, retention, prospects, sales, and advertising. This individual would thrive in a fast-paced environment to help the Chamber continue reaching their goals. The Chamber is willing to train the right individual for the position.



Pay: $18-$21 per hour, DOE



Start Date: December 2022

Job Duties:

• Manage membership accounts of 600+ businesses


• Establish and maintain relationships with members and partners


• Identify prospective Chamber members and implement a sales plan


• Manage sales and advertising


• Implement effective retention plan


• Maintain records for all membership and manage database


• Participate in various Chamber meetings, events, and activities


• Represent the Chamber in a positive image


• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner


• Assist President & CEO as needed


• Assist Visitor Center operations as needed


• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• Outstanding communication and customer service


• Effective written and oral communication skills


• Experience with Microsoft Office and databases (Preferred)


• Must be a team player and self-motivated


• Sales and marketing experience


• Excellent organizational skills


• Must have reliable transportation
