Position: Membership and Business Development Director
Description: The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to join their team as the Membership and Business Development Director. The Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce works with the business community to grow business and create a thriving economy. The Chamber offers networking, advocacy, connections, marketing, and community engagement. The Membership and Business Development Director manages membership, retention, prospects, sales, and advertising. This individual would thrive in a fast-paced environment to help the Chamber continue reaching their goals. The Chamber is willing to train the right individual for the position.
Pay: $18-$21 per hour, DOE
Start Date: December 2022

Job Duties:
- Manage membership accounts of 600+ businesses
- Establish and maintain relationships with members and partners
- Identify prospective Chamber members and implement a sales plan
- Manage sales and advertising
- Implement effective retention plan
- Maintain records for all membership and manage database
- Participate in various Chamber meetings, events, and activities
- Represent the Chamber in a positive image
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Assist President & CEO as needed
- Assist Visitor Center operations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Outstanding communication and customer service
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and databases (Preferred)
- Must be a team player and self-motivated
- Sales and marketing experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must have reliable transportation
